Role: Senior Software Architect, Game Designer, Artist
About: Axonn Echysttas is the founder of Gamaddiction. He’s been doing software development since 1998 and gaming since the first year of elementary school. He also doesn’t like to talk about himself in the third person, but for this time, he will do it ::- D.
His goal for as long as he can remember was to do game development, a goal he finally came face to face with in 2009, with the establishment of Gamaddiction, after 5 years of Axonn Software Development and 6 years of business-related software day jobs.
An extremely active individual, Axonn has dozens of game ideas every month, some of which he carefully catalogs for the future. He’s also passionate about writing, both novels (one work in progress) and hardware/software analysis articles (some of which^ have been published on bad-ass tech website The Inquirer). Other hobbies include (but are not limited to) astronomy, music and cycling.
Role: Lead Artist
About: Alex is the newest and perhaps most important member of Gamaddiction. He spent a lot of time creating the art of our second game, Alien Invasion. He’s an artist through-and-through, having been through Art high-school and University education.
Although he’s now living in New Zealand, separated from Axonn’s new hometown of Stockholm by thousands of kilometers, he was once living in Brasov, just like Axonn. And that’s where these guys first met, during a rather interesting party.
Alex enjoys quality music (metal included, of course) and he has some really crazy ideas sometimes, some of which might make him a millionaire someday.
Gabi “DiAngelo” Balasz
Role: Senior Software Developer, Artist
About: Gabi is our PHP guru and guarding angel, taking part in the most Gamaddiction projects. He optimized a few designs for Thunderbirdz, he is completely responsible for the design of the default skin of the G3 UI Library, he created this very website and he spent a lot of time building the PHP back-end of our unfortunately-frozen project, RoboFite.
Besides being a good software developer and artist, he’s also one of the most polite people we know. He’s careful and thoughtful, not to mention incredibly calm.
Role: Quality Assurance
About: Crina has spent dozens of hours testing Thunderbirdz and she’s constantly giving us extremely valuable input about just about every possible aspect of our projects. She can be extremely picky, but that makes her one of the toughest judges of quality.
By trade, she’s a Java senior software developer, but since none of our products are Java-based yet, she never got the chance to write a line of code for us, but somehow we think that will change soon.
Crina is an avid reader, movie aficionado, she enjoys quality music (especially trip hop) and she loves to travel around the world with her Canon EOS camera.
About: Anca Poiata is the oldest member of Gamaddiction. She’s behind the art of our first game, Thunderbirdz, and an idea she once threw up in the air eventually grew to be our second game, Alien Invasion.
Without Anca, there would be no Gamaddiction. It was her art that made our launch possible. Even though she’s no longer an active member, she will always remain a honorary member.
Anca comes from an artist lineage, both her parents being talented and acclaimed painters. She, herself, is an extraordinary artist, having learned to channel her talent into the myriad of projects of our digital age.
